The one-piece plastic backrest of ID Air is an innovative construction manufactured in a patented process. The pattern of strategically placed perforations offers great freedom of movement while providing the necessary support for healthy sitting postures. The flexibility of the backrest and the effective air circulation are complemented by soft seat upholstery to ensure a high degree of comfort.

1、PRIOR TO ADJUSTMENTS

Your body needs both physical activity and recovery phases in order to stay healthy and feel well. An office chair that is optimally adjusted to fit your body can help achieve this. Before you begin to make adjustments, release the backrest locking function (which is engaged to ensure safe shipping) and remove the optional protective covers from all of the castors of your office chair to avoid damaging the floor surface.

2、SEAT HEIGHT

To ensure good circulation in your legs, the seat must be adjusted to the proper height. The seat height is correct when your knees are bent at an angle of about 90° with your feet placed flat on the floor.

3、SEAT DEPTH

If the seat pan is positioned too far forward, it can restrict blood circulation in your legs. To prevent this, adjust the seat depth so that the clearance between the front edge of the seat and the back of your knees is about two fingers wide.

4、BACKREST RESISTANCE

You can adjust the patented FlowMotion mechanism to suit your personal weight. This automatically adapts the resistance of the synchronised forward tilt function (optional feature).

This adjustment should be made in an upright sitting position with no pressure against the backrest.

Fine tuning from minimum to maximum resistance is achieved quickly and simply with just two complete turns of the knob.

The spine always maintains a healthy posture thanks to optimal support in every sitting position – even leaning forwards.

5、FORWARD TILT

The seat tilt function is set in the locked position for safe shipping. For healthy dynamic seating, it is essential to unlock the forward tilt function.

6、BACKREST LOCKING FUNCTION

The backrest recline mechanism is set in the locked position for safe shipping. To facilitate healthy, dynamic sitting habits, you should release the locking function. Restrict working with a locked backrest to temporary phases in which you maintain an upright posture.

靠背锁定功能

7、ARMREST HEIGHT

In the correct position, armrests reduce pressure on your shoulders and neck, preventing muscular tension. Adjust the height of the armrests to the approximate height of your desk surface, so that your elbows are bent at an angle of about 90°.

8、ARMREST WIDTH

To avoid sitting with your arms either widely splayed or tightly cramped against the body, the distance between the armrests should correspond to the width of your shoulders. When seated in a natural position with your lower arms placed on the armrests, you can tell that your posture is correct if your arms are close to your torso. You should also be able to easily move them forwards and backwards.

9、ARMREST PADS (3D ARMRESTS)

The pads on the 3D armrests can be rotated 360° and shifted forwards or backwards. This makes it possible to adjust the angle of the pad and its distance to the work surface.

Testing tip: make sure that you are looking straight ahead when you test the position of the armrests, since turning your head puts uneven strain on the lateral muscles of your neck and shoulders. This could result in incorrect settings.
